Pewabic is pleased to present two of the finest ceramicists from neighboring state, Ohio. Both artists are instructors at the Cleveland Institute of Art, an establishment that along with the state continues to be a powerhouse in contemporary ceramic arts.
Judith Salomon draws upon the inspiration of two-dimensional collage, piecing together layer upon layer of slab-rolled clay to create three-dimensional, functional wares.
Like calligraphic brushstrokes in space, Amy Sinbondit’s sculpture explores the rythm, harmony, and interaction within communication, balance and connections through abstract letter forms.
The opening reception for the exhibtion is Friday, August 2, 2013 from 6pm-8pm
